+I ordered my books 2 days ago and I have not received confirmation that they have shipped. What’s taking so long?
The UCB Bookstore makes every effort to send your order out in a timely manner. Processing of your order may take 3 to 5 business days. Choosing an expedited shipping option (overnight, 2nd day) will only expedite the shipping, it does not expedite the processing. However there are a few situations that may prevent this:
- You are not showing as registered for the course(s) on your order. Any student wishing to charge their materials to their student account (financial aid) must be showing as registered before the materials can be sent and charged. Please make sure you are registered prior to ordering. Once registered, your order will be sent out in 3 to 5 business days.
- The Eagle Shop is not open on Saturday and Sunday. If your order was placed after 7 am on Friday, your order will not be printed until Monday with the same 3 to 5 business day processing time.
+Why does my order show a zero amount for the shipping charge?
If an expedited shipping method was chosen (overnight, 2nd day), the computer cannot calculate the charges. We can only give you a shipping cost once the materials are boxed and put into our shipping computer. If you would like to verify the shipping cost prior to shipping and charging, please put a note to the bookstore on your order and someone will contact you with the exact shipping cost.
PLEASE REMEMBER, CHOOSING AN EXPEDITED SHIPPING METHOD WILL NOT SPEED UP THE 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAY PROCESSING TIME. IT WILL ONLY EXPEDITE THE ACTUAL SHIPPING TIME.
+I chose a PO Box (or APO) as my shipping address. Can I choose overnight or 2nd day shipping?
All orders that have a PO Box (or APO) as the shipping address must be delivered through the United States Postal Service. We do not have the ability to send these shipments in an expedited fashion. Overnight and 2nd day shipments can only be sent to a physical address.
PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING TO A PO BOX OR APO ADDRESS WILL CAUSE DELAYS. SHIPMENTS MAY TAKE 1 TO 2 WEEKS OR LONGER IF IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL ADDRESS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A QUICKER SHIPPING METHOD, PLEASE USE A PHYSICAL ADDRESS.
+ How can I track my package once it is shipped?
If you used a physical address (street address) as the shipment address, you will receive an email from UPS with a tracking number to the email address you used when registering for the website. We cannot provide tracking for PO Box or APO addresses.
+I chose a shipping method of overnight. Why does my order not go out immediately?
Choosing an expedited shipping method does not expedite the processing time. It will only expedite the time it takes for the books to get to you once they have been processed and sent out from our facility. All orders may take 3 to 5 business days to process.
+ I don’t want to place my order via the website. Can I place an order over the phone?
For your safety, we cannot accept orders for textbooks or merchandise over the phone. If you are having problems processing your order online, please contact the bookstore and someone will walk you through the process over the telephone.
+Why was I charged a different amount for a book than what was on my original order?
Pricing on the website is subject to change without notice. Pricing changes often occur daily. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the pricing on the website.
+I chose used books. Why is my total calculated using new book prices?
All totals are calculated using new prices, as we cannot guarantee availability of used books.
+I chose that I wanted used books. Why was I sent new books?
We make every effort to fill requests for used textbooks. However, our used stock is limited. We will substitute new books to fill your order so as not to cause a delay in your course work. If you do not want us to substitute the new books, please choose “USED ONLY” on your order. You will be notified if “USED” quantities are not available.
